Double-engine govt can not provide fertilizer: RJD

PATNA:  The RJD condemned the NDA government both in the state as well as at the Centre for the lack of fertilizers, specifically urea as well as DAP (Di-Ammonium Phosphate), in Bihar. Official documents reveal Bihar gotten 26% much less than its share of fertilizer (read Urea) from the Centre, resulting in a situation throughout Rabi period. According to the farming division, 4 lakh statistics tones of DAP alone is needed for Rabi period.

The lack  of fertilizers resulted in objections in greater than 10 areas, consisting of Araria, Rohtas, Munger, West Champaran, as well as Saharsa. Referring to a testimonial conference chaired by the farming assistant on December 31, the RJD claimed the state can obtain just 74% of its fertilizer allocation also after CM Nitish Kumar’s treatment. “Bihar couldn’t get its share of fertilizer despite the state having a double engine government,” RJD tweeted.

This scenario occurred in spite of that  there were 39 MPs from Bihar of which 5 were ministers in the Union Cabinet, it claimed. “Yet, they did precious little to do justice with the farmers, who were subjected to police brutality for demanding fertilizers.”
